The Challenge
Getting honest feedback from real people is always valuable, but it’s not always easy. Traditional text surveys often feel impersonal, and reviewing long open-ended responses is time-consuming. Video feedback offers a more natural and expressive way to gather insights, but managing lengthy recordings, manually transcribing content, detecting emotional tone, and identifying patterns in unstructured data can be complex.
Our client recognized the opportunity to create a smarter solution: a platform where users can easily design video surveys, distribute them, and instantly receive AI-powered insights without manual effort. The platform needed to support multiple user roles, work seamlessly across all devices, and provide real-time analytics with advanced response management tools. Beyond video collection, it offers natural language querying, subscription management, and comprehensive admin controls. While the concept was ambitious, building a system for video uploads, AI analysis, flexible user support, and ease of use was paramount.
Our Solution
To bring the concept to life, we developed a proof of concept (POC) for the platform’s initial version, including all core features to validate functionality in real-world use. We tailored experiences for survey creators, respondents, and administrators, addressing their unique needs within the platform.
Authentication:
A secure user system allows registration, login, and password resets, ensuring safe account management.
Creating Video Surveys:
Users can design customizable survey templates with video-based questions and apply conditional logic to make surveys interactive and gather richer, expressive feedback.
Answering Surveys:
Respondents record and submit video answers directly via a user-friendly interface optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop. Features include save/resume and re-record to boost response quality and completion rates.
AI-Powered Insights:
Integration with third-party AI tools enables automated transcription of spoken answers, emotional tone detection, summary generation, visual statistics, and a natural language chat interface for instant, AI-driven survey insights.
Real-Time Analytics and Admin Tools:
A live dashboard shows real-time response updates, user management, performance monitoring, and reporting capabilities for admins.
Additional Integrations:
Stripe manages subscription payments, SendGrid handles transactional emails, and Qwary supports video survey infrastructure and storage.
